Footstool by Bonni Backe

Footstool

From Bonni: "The footstool itself was very basic, just blocks of wood stacked
to give a groove for the fringe to settle into. The top was padded and
upholstered with silk. This was a 12 hour class, so they [students] spent
2 hours a day for 6 days, first learning to weave on the inkle loom and
then making 'yardage'."

And: "We wove two fringes on inkle looms (really simple looms used
for weaving narrow bands and tapes) - a heavier underskirt fringe
using 20/2 rayon, and the fancier tassel fringe using YLI 100 wt.
thread for both the tape and the tiny tassels. The tassels get tied
on as the weaving progresses."
