Lisa purchased the blue fabric in 2006, but it
took until May to finish the quilt.  She says
her desire to do the quilt out paced her ability.
Lisa had to learn how to do it and get brave enough
to do it as well!

Lisa dyed the background because she became so
addicted to hand dyes that she finally learned herself!

Susan Carlson's techniques were used for applique
and the paper pieced background.  The tatoo is
painted with Tsukneko Fabic Inks. Lisa beaded the
background after heavy quilting - all done on her
home machine.
