		"Angel" Quilt with beads by Elizabeth Lay

		"Angel on a Half Shell" Quilt with beads by Elizabeth Lay Elizabeth has a BFA from the University of Kentucky. Although she has only been quilting since 1997, fiber has been her love all her life. Currently, her work is exhibited in galleries and quilt shows. She works on both public and private commissions and designs patterns for other quilters. These quilts began with sketches of churches she made on a trip to England and Scotland. The appliqué is applied by hand then the quilt is brought alive by "drawing" with the sewing machine and hand beading with faux pearls and glass beads. These Angels are the first of a series in progress.
