Ellen chose one of Joen Wolfrom's designs
for this spectacular quilt.  I think seeing it
in context gives it life!

Ellen contacted me to see if I could dye a
Burgundy to Navy Progression for the middle
section of the quilt - to bridge the 2 gradations.
She had more than enough fabric to make the
quilt slightly larger than the original pattern.
The back of the quilt (corner turned back) is a
custom over dye using Burgundy and Navy.

The pattern calls for 19 fabrics but Ellen used
21. She started with the Twin size, but made
12 rows of 13 - 6" squares to make the quilt
72" X 78". Adding a 6" border cut on the bias,
so that it would blend with the design, Ellen's
quilt measures 84" X 90".
