"Praying Hands"

The pattern started as a 2"x 3" photo from
the Internet, which Barb took to Staples
and had enlarged on the blueprint machine.
A friend of hers who is an art teacher
helped her work out the actual shapes,
and where the highlighting should be.
Various flesh tone shades were used and
satin stitch embroidery for the knuckle
creases.

This quilt recently traveled to Germany for
World Youth Day.  Barb was trying to
arrange an audience with Pope Benedict XVI
for a blessing of the quilt.
